The Optimus G is one of the best Android based devices manufactured by LG. Now, this smartphone is more than three years old which means it won’t receive any more OTA updates due to hardware limitations. However, optimized custom ROMs can still smoothly run on this phone, which means that you can enjoy the latest features, apps and capabilities without getting a new OTA. In that respect, if you really want to spice things up you should know that a new custom firmware, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been released for your own LG Optimus G.
Yes, that’s right, Android 6.0 for LG Optimus G. Isn’t that great? Well, it is indeed, so you might want to see how this new software really works on your device. In that case, I am here to guide you through the flashing process. Therefore, by reading the lines from below you can now learn how to update your Optimus G to latest Android release: Marshmallow 6.0.
Garageband free app ipad. Of course, you are dealing with a custom ROM that is only based on stock Android M. The firmware has been customized and optimized by those of xda-developers so we must thank them for this update operation.
In case you are wondering, this Android 6.0 software can be used on a daily basis on your LG Optimus G. Even though you might still experience small bugs or software related problems, overall the ROM runs smoothly and all its main features runs without further problems – just small bugs related to the camera and with some web browsing download force close errors have been reported by the users who have already tested the Marshmallow system on the Optimus G.
A custom ROM can be flashed only in certain conditions as it is an unofficial firmware that will have to access, modify and optimize in built settings, features and processes. In that respect, you need to know that an unlocked Android system is required, so you have to root your LG Optimus G before going any further. Moreover, since the Android 6.0 update is provided in form of a .zip file, a custom recovery image, like CWM or TWRP recovery must also be pre loaded on your device.
Premiere pro trial mac download. Be aware that all these operations, including the present update one, are unofficial. Thus, the warranty of your phone will get void and you can also end up in bricking your Android device is somehow you mess things up or if something goes wrong. Thus, be careful when you start the steps from below and maybe a good idea is to read how to manually resolve possible Android related issues before going any further.
The Android M custom ROM can run on your LG Optimus G only if you first hard reset your phone and clear cache. These two wiping procedures can be applied through the custom recovery software so you have nothing to worry about (I will show you how to do it at the right time). However, because of that you should now backup your data or else you will end up in losing everything that means something for you. I am talking about contacts, call logs, text messages, images, videos, audio files, market apps, internet settings, IMEI / NVRAM, calendar info, saved passwords and so on. Don’t worry, the backup can be easily resolved by using compatible apps from Google Play or cloud storage platforms.
Using a computer is a must as you have to download the required files on the same. Of course, your phone and its USB cable will be used too. https://googlerenew460.weebly.com/real-heroes-firefighter-download-crack-free.html. It is important to charge your device if its battery power is currently lower than 50% - if it gets turned off while you try to apply the Marshmallow ROM, different software related issues might occur.
You also have to enable Developer Options and USB debugging features on your phone. First, for developer options you need to access “menu – settings – about phone” from where you need to tap several times on Built Number. Next, under “menu – settings – developer options” you will find the USB debugging field.
I recommend you to make a Nandroid backup before installing the Android 6.0 M firmware. In this way you can save (and restore afterwards) the current ROM that powers your LG Optimus G. Moreover, keep in mind that this step by step guide is compatible only with the E975 model of the mentioned device, so try not to mess things up.

- Connect your smartphone with your computer by plugging in the USB cable.
- Transfer both files from your computer to your phone’s SD card.
